This is the first epilator I ever had. To be fair I have dark hair that needs shaving every single day. Of course it hurt a lot - that I could get used to. The problem was that it didn't pick up more than half the hair, so needed multiple passes and I needed to shave to get rid of the rest of the hair once I couldn't stand using this device anymore. Total failure for me.

it simply doesn't work. as soon as it touch the skin it stops(and that's when it's plugged). totally disapointed in this brand and i am skeptical about the newest models they released. i am gonna use my old panasonic, it's not perfect but 100x better than this stuff.

I tried this epilator right away and it did a really good job on my legs. I used it on my cheeks (facial, lol), too and again it worked great. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and anybody else reading this.

I have been using epilators for over a decade, starting with the first models which were practically torture devices. Emjoi makes excellent epilators. I have an older model Emjoi which I paid about seventy dollars for and it still works perfectly. This was purchased for my daughter, cost about half that, and works every bit as well as the more expensive, older model. After using for a while most hair stops growing back. I now use it every couple of weeks to get any strays that still grow, and my legs are smooth as can be. Say goodbye to prickly razor stubble! I think the best way to start using this would be to begin as soon after shaving as there is hair long enough for the epilator to grasp, and repeat frequently (daily even) as more hairs grow in, since they grow in at different speeds. If you begin with fully grown in hair, you will be getting every hair at once, which could be extremely painful. Definitely it gets easier, less time consuming and way less uncomfortable the more you use it, so don't give up.

I found the unit to be less than desired. It does work, but, because it misses more than it plucks, you need to spend a lot of time every day.
